Riel is almost always seen with her nose buried firmly in a book. Though she often comes off as being stern and serious, it is soon apparent the moment she opens her mouth that she is more than a little rambunctious and excitable. She's more than willing to go on at great length about her favorite book series - which seems to change with the seasons. What doesn't change is the intensity of her love for Xrea, and she's just as happy yammering on about how great her wife is.

Not one to let much to get to her, Riel is cited as a morale booster in the otherwise dreary scenery of the Cartel, as she's known for treating every day like it's her last and living every moment like it's a miracle. Always eager to be kind and helpful, she'd be more than happy to bend over backwards to help anyone out of a pinch, if she has any say in it. Some may say her happiness is quite grating, but it's not like she'd let that get to her.

Riel loves being able to live out anything that may leave her going on any sort of adventure, and often volunteers to head the daily gathering searches in hopes of finding anything unusual that might lead her on an important quest, but more often than not has her chattering her teammates' ears off about whether or not Han shot first (he did).

It's not unheard of to find Riel sleeping in odd nooks and crannies of the lair with a book not far away, but she's often seen frequently near the nests, telling scared hatchlings in training about what an honor it is to be exalted to the deities and how great a story they will have to tell - and how much she looks forward to reading all about it.
