Hazel

Any hatchling or newcomer who was born in or passed through the clan would know Hazel.
The warm-hearted imperial was one of the kindest dragons the clan had.
She always had a kind word for everyone and the time to sit and chat with them.
One would have thought that a dragon born of Lightning would have been a little more cold, a little more calculating, perhaps.
Not Hazel.
Oh no.
She was the first to extend a helping paw, the first to offer their share, the first to help.
And for a relatively new clan, she was a treasure.
A little kindness never killed anyone, as far as she was concerned.
Her origins had been a mystery, though rumour had it that she was rescued from the borders of the Carrion Canyon as a hatchling and raised by the clan leaders.
Grateful for the second chance, she decided to stay, and watch the clan grow.
Hazel advocated peace, and stayed out of the coliseum as much as she could.
This didn't mean that she had never fought for anything in her life, at all.
Far from it.
The kindly imperial was always ready to defend the clan, and although she didn't know it, the clan leaders had though of assigning the position of border guard to her.
Hazel couldn't though.
Her duty was with the dragons around her, not in the outskirts of the Tsunami Flats.
Some scoffed at her. What kind of dragon promoted peace, yet had no qualms about taking down a beast clan?
But what was wrong with protecting those you loved?
