Toshizo hales from the land of ice and snow, a hard existence for any Bloodworm. Only the strong and strong of mind service the harsh frozen landscape.

Toshizo and his sister Ayumu now happily reside in the clan of Rattling Bones, skilled tattoo artists and members of their own small Bloodworm group tasked with the job of night patrol. Toshizo takes pride in his clan and roles, though this was not always the case. It was his failure to secure the blood for his bonding ritual that drove him and his sister from their frozen home.

Any Bloodworm who fails to secure a kill is disgraced and banished from their clan. In face of his failure, driven by rage Toshizo chose to lash out at the very deity who had cursed his species so long ago. Seeking the land of the PlagueBringer, he sought to make victim of a loyal subject, thus earning his markings at her loss. Whether or not his actions affected such a deity is up for debate. Toshizo however is at peace with his actions and feels himself to be well received.

Every loyal to her brother Ayumu followed him into the famed land were the two found a home in the small but growing Bloodworm group under the leadership of Nyx. In exchange for loyalty and protection she allows them to burrow to their hearts content.

The bond between Toshizo and Ayumu is arguably...odd. They are eerily in sync, and similar in movement. Sometimes, they even finish each other's-
