Stig

Stig stood up straight. He stretched lithely, like a cat, and then got into position. The starting dragon blew a puff of flame, and they were off. He leaped into the air, tucking in his long slender legs for flight. His wings opened, catching the light of the shifting expanse. Like a jet, he was off.

The Spiral next to Stig was keeping up, but he was struggling. The was a mirror on the ground, who was keeping pace as well. A guardian fell behind immediately. Stig spun, and began to fly on his back, smirking at the competition, and giving a wink to some of the lady onlookers.

Then, with a determined look, Stig switched over, and gave a hard flap of his wings. He was in the lead. He rounded the turn, a large cactus, very carefully, and headed back to the starting line. It was all over in a flash. He touched down, straightened his neck and folded his wings. No big feat.

Normally Stig was here to bet, but tonight was different. He was a bit bored, and there was a gorgeous lady imperial in the crowd. So he entered the race. He shrugged off the 1000 gem prize, murmuring, "Eh, split it between the runner ups.", and headed over to the dragoness. Not a feather out of place he asked,

"Can I buy you a drink?"
