Biography

Fornax traveled a long way to come here. Atherin's clan bought him from his home in the Scarred Wasteland, and he waited there until a feastday celebration where he was presented as a gift to Chert and the Flamewing Forge by the other Fire clan.

He had a few flings, but he envied the dragons that had mates to nest with. The need to belong to a family itched under his scales like a bad rash, and he hadn't felt like that since leaving the wasteland behind. It was a most un-spiral-like need.

When Serpentine grew up, Chert actually suggested the match with Fornax, if he could get Bellows to approve.

Fornax was startled. He hadn't really considered settling down with a fae. She was brassy and so small, hardly bigger than the insects they both ate. They flew together for a while, chatted with each other, and like each other well enough.

So then, it was time to approach the old tundra patriarch.

Tundras may not be known for vast intelligence, but Bellows is a very wise dragon. He told Fornax, "If you truly wish to join my family, then why not join our breed?"

It took Fornax nearly a week to make up his mind, but he enjoyed flying with Serpentine so much that he agreed. Chert consulted with Gneiss and Olivine, then applied the magic to make Fornax a tundra.

And he is very happy.
