B I O G R A P H Y
______ If rumors are to be believed, Vladimir's parents were once wealthy nobles with a peculiar fondness for masquerade balls. In any case, Vladimir grew up comfortably, with tutors and maids and chefs to cater to his whims, up until his parents squandered away all their gold to throw the grandest masquerade ball yet and ended up penniless.

______ And so, Vladimir left home to find his own fortune in the world. To occupy his time and pocket, he tried his hand at gambling and found that he was quite skilled at it. He also discovered that he had a knack for augury when he narrowly avoided several situations that would have otherwise resulted in his early demise. With pockets lined in gold, he traveled and caroused with creatures of every ilk, determined to experience all that life had to offer, and somehow ended up in a tavern of ill-repute, where an old flame, the beautifully ruthless Mischa, found him asleep over the bar. After rudely waking him up and demanding to know if he had intimate knowledge of the geographic workings of the various trade routes, Mischa and her companion invited him to their home--a newly renovated airship--and promptly declared that he was to be their new navigator.
