Saarinen

Saarinen was once a highly respected prince of a light clan. He always knew he had a special destiny, and he was very proud of his position in the clan. From a young age, he was trained in the art of being a prince. He learned politics and other essential skills, but by far, his favourite subject was battle training. His other classes were interesting, but he lived to learn to fight. He could hardly wait until he fought in his first battle.

Finally, the day came. He had passed every test his instructor sent for him, and proven himself a thousand times over. Finally, he was allowed to actually go out and fight. He could hardly sleep the night before. All he could do was pace the halls of his clan. Soon he would truly prove himself as a true prince and an honorable future king.

The next day, however, everything went wrong, and Saarinen could do nothing to help it. He couldn't explain it. One moment, he was charging into battle, undeterred and ready to fight any dragon that got in the way, and the next moment he was standing still in the middle of the battlefield. She wasn't even fighting him, the beautiful skydancer that had captured his whole attention. She was facing off with one of the clan soldiers, a wildclaw. All Saarinen knew was that she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, and that he wanted her to be his queen.

While he was distracted by Legba, another warrior took that oppertunity to strike him down. Saarinen didn't even see it coming, he was just knocked unconscious.

Once he awoke, he was surrounded by unfamiliar dragons. After being used to the constantly sunlit territory of the light flight, he found he could hardly see anything. It took days for his eyes to adjust to the darkness. He didn't understand. Had he been taken prisoner?

Then, she came to him. The beautiful skydancer that had captured his attention. In that moment, he forgot everything. he no longer cared that he was gone from his clan. He no longer cared that he was in an unfamiliar flight, injured and most likely a prisoner. All he felt was complete joy that he got to see Legba here and now. He, like many dragons before him, had become her prisoner.

Despite his status in his previous clan, he was not destined to become Legba's favourite. This frustrated Saarinen, and caused a lot of fights between him and the other longest standing prisoner, Ayden. However, eventually he accepted his place. His love for Legba had not quenched his love for fighting, and he threw himself into training. He has since become one of Torgin's best warriors.
