As the daughter of Lumina, Cynthia is naturally the heiress if something was to happen to the clan's leader. However, she herself would rather not lead the clan and instead follow her passion in alchemy. She makes regular trips to Baldwin at the trading post to help herself learn the art of alchemy, as Hotaru would rather not deal with a dragon species she deems is not worthy. Most within the clan are not aware of these trips and think that Cynthia is simply exploring the surroundings like her father.

While at first many of Cynthia's experiments were simply practicing the art of transmutation, in recent times she has taken to developing ways to predict the future through alchemy. She has hopes that she will one day find a method that is easier for her than the crystal balls and expensive rituals she has read about in some of the clan's scrolls.
