Biography
Pynk
The Lonely Warrior
Familiar Rhodochrosite Crane (though she prefers the name 'Amy' which is short for 'Amythyst') Lei Gifted to him by Xena and Wyn during his mating ritual to Caryn |
Gender: Male Sexuality: Heteroromantic Heterosexual Job/occupation: Warrior Mate of: Caryn Guardian of: Light Father of: Truth and Whisper Story
After his mentor, Orion, left to help other clans train their warriors, Pynk felt empty inside. Barren. Sad. He wandered, walked, flew, ran, and even tried swimming to get his mind off things.
Light chased after him one stormy day, going off a hunch that Truth, one of Orion's daughters, had alerted her to, and found Pynk at the edge of a cliff, staring down at the crashing waves below. "Pynk?" Light had asked, carefully fluttering up to the large dragon. "It's me, Light." Her voice had been quiet, tentative, as to not make the other dragon nervous. After all, Pynk hadn't known he was being followed. "I know it's you." Pynk had acknowledged as a flash of lightning had forked the sky. Pynk hadn't turned to look at the dragon that was currently adjusting her wings to avoid showing her nervousness. "How long have you been following me?" "Actually, I hadn't followed you at all, per se." Light had told him. "Truth told me to find you, and she said I would find you here. So here I am." Pynk had sighed then, and took several steps back from the cliffs. Light took to the skies, just a little, enough that the older dragon would be at eye level with the Fae. "I take it you've caught onto my-" Pink had been unable to finish his sentence, but Light took the initiative to perch, carefully, on Pynk's shoulder. It was the best form of a hug the tiny dragon could muster. Pynk would have normally been wary of a dragon he didn't know terribly well coming to perch on his shoulder, but... if Truth was right, Light had a gift, and Pynk trusted Truth with every scale on his body. As such, he trusted Light to understand what he was feeling, so that it was okay he didn't finish his sentence. The two dragons had started walking then, back towards the main camp, and the didn't speak. Light started off standing, but soon sat down. When Pynk took flight to speed their return, he didn't mind when Light fell asleep so innocently on his shoulder. He had just looked down at the dragon, noticed she had carefully secured her claws in his armor, and let her rest. It wasn't until he got back to the main camp that he realized that Light was his distraction, and making sure the little dragon was kept safe, gave him something to do, something to focus on. All the while this was happening, he met the dragon who would soon be his mate Caryn. Caryn, after following Pynk around secretly while he trained with Orion, quickly became friends with him after she revealed her presence after Orion left him alone to fly home. After Pynk expressed his want to have a mate that would not only be a trusted companion, but would also give him Night Warrior children, Caryn got the message and the two were soon mated by Xena and Wyn. Pynk himself, after observing Orion, wished himself to be a Night Warrior, but it was not meant to be, and acceptance came after a time, aided by Caryn's near-constant reassurance. Pynk wears a violet lei frozen in development at the same phase as the lei that Caryn wears under her scarf. It serves as a symbol that their companionship has bloomed, and will stay strong until death do they part. It follows the traditions of the Clan of Wynter, and Pynk was proud to continue its legacy. Pynk possesses a strong level of loyalty, and will go to the ends of the realm to protect those he cares about. |
Armor
Scavenged from the makeshift Armory that Xena and Wyn have built up since then, though Pynk refuses to upgrade, for the sake of the sentimental value it offers him.

As a hatchling, Pynk was born to the Arcane flight, and while many of the values of the Arcane flight have stayed with him, he is loyal to the Lightning flight. All that remains are his glowing, gorgeous eyes (which Caryn claims were the impetus to make her fall in love with him) and his coloring which could fit right in with the style of dragons in the Arcane flight.
Pynk from the start was innocent, but his life quickly became rough when he was forced to leave his flight in search of a new and better home. Some would argue he was a Lightning Flight dragon born in the wrong flight, but Pynk merely thinks he was placed in the Arcane Flight to make him stronger for the troubles he would face once he fought for the Clan of Wynter. In the end, he is happy, though occasionally unstable, but that's what his friends are for. |
