Phoenix was found by Zephyr, as many hatchlings are that come to live in this clan. Feeling an overwhelming motherly protectiveness toward Phoenix, Zephyr brought her in and decided to raise her as the Matriarch so she may rule alongside Drakon. At first, Phoenix was incredibly shy, she would only be happy if she was either with Zephyr or Drakon and only them. Then, as she entered adolescence, she became more prideful and strong, not unlike Zephyr in her adolescent days. Phoenix sports very vivid and contrasting colouration but she stands out enough in her clan's crowd that all know who she is, what rank she holds and that she holds the reins of the clan's future.

That would have been, however, as Zephyr ages; the older Matriarch feels it should fall onto her Bone Guards to lead the clan should she falter. This leave Phoenix with a hole in her ever-burning heart. Stripped of her future by Angrboda and Loki, she festers a great dislike of the mated Bone Guards.
