You walk up to Starflight, Astronomy behind you. He first snarls at you, but seeing Astronomy backing you up, nods respectfully and waves you off. Astronomy directs you a little further from him, and explains.

Forever jealous of his sister, Starflight loves his parents dearly but spends most of his time trying to suck up to them so that he can control the clan instead. He wanted to be the leader of the clan instead of Astronomy, and plans to one day take over the clan with the help of some of the other dragons. He tries to keep good relations with the rest of the clan, but for the time, they prefer Astronomy as leader. He has a great deal of respect for some of the older dragons, but doesn't see why they look up to and respect his sister when they are clearly much older and more experienced than her.

Lavender gave Starflight the job of overseeing the training of young dragons. He often also acts as a guard to the dragons that fight in the coliseum, taking them out of battles that they might lose, and if they do lose, he drags them back to the clan. There has to be a great deal of trust between the dragon that takes this job and the dragons that train. Starflight hopes to use this to his advantage.
