aggressive and cunning, mirai is the lair's co-ruler, and celestial's mate. the nocturne is far more feisty than her palid mate, a pompous queen whose presence demands to be noticed whenever she enters the scene. insightful and clever, it isn't much of a challenge for the nocturne to get whatever she may desire, nevermind the interest of others. after taking the lair by force countless seasons ago, she had governed over the peaceful dragons with an iron fist, dominant and malicious when faced with nearby lairs. those who were reluclant to support her reign would be exiled with no second thought, or executed if she felt it was needed to send fellow rebels a message. it wasn't long until celestial found beauty admist the badlam she had created, and bent this world to his will, convincing mirai to let him become an equal rather than a subject. they now watch over the lair, two magnificent forces in perfect harmony, a slow dance to guide their subjects to calmer days. once the sole ruler of the lair, mirai first took over by slaying the previous leader, ciel. most dragons surrended before her strength, but a few others posed a resistance against the nocturne, causing her to chase them out. despite her seemingly cruel ways, mirai protects the pack better than their previous leader ever could, partly thanks to her remarkably aggressive nature. a temperamental queen, her rage comes like a storm, but there is certain elegance in her deathly fury. this power came as both blessing and curse to those under her care, but the days of chaos came to a close when celestial entered the scene. the male nocturne's original plan was to take the lair by slaying mirai, just like she had done in the past, but neither nocturne would yield before the other. after three days and three nights of rentless battling, the two came to realize their destructive fight for dominance would bring the lair to its doom, and found hope in the possibility of ruling together. they solidified this pact by taking each other as mates, and have managed to remain peaceful and fair ever since. |
