I was honestly uncertain as to what was going on, during my short time in the lair with my parents, learning of the dragon gods, and specifically, the god of the element I was born in. Stormcatcher, he was called. I also learned to basics of an average baby dragon: walk, crawl, and attack. I want to meet our God of Lightning, but father said that the Tempest Spire--where he spends most of his time--is quite deadly, even for a well-trained lightning dragon. The only way to get close to him was if I was exalted.

Not too long after my lessons and a brief moment with my parents, the leader of our lair, Tavvi, picked me up and carried me off to a place that was not as dangerously fascinating as The Shifting Expanse, but more of a dreamworld.
Was this real?
Magic energies flowing freely from both the ground and in the air reminds me of the stars my mother had described to me. I was never able to see them from my homeland, since there were lightning storms almost everyday (or as they had said, since I was only around for 2 days after I hatched), but where was it materializing from?
Tavvi nudged me a little as I clinged onto her like a human toddler, careful not to use any--even my raptor claw-- against her flesh.
I looked up at her with my light-blue eyes (a sure-sign that I was indeed a dragon of lightning), "My friend is in need of more company. I managed to convince her to take you in."
Does that mean that this person doesn't want me in? Will she exalt me to the god in which her clan worships shortly after Tavvi drops me off? Who was he again? The Arcanist? What's an arcanist again?

Stopping at the front of the a cave entrance at Crystalspine Reaches, also allured by these flowing, sparkling tendrils, we were greeted by a really large guardian dragon (and I thought the Ridgebacks from my homeland were the largest). His eyes were an intense pink glow, so he was definitely of the Arcane Flight; just not as "soft" as I imagined the Arcane dragons to be.
His intense aura made me shied and shifted to the point where I climbed over Tavvi's shoulder and hide behind her back, but she was completely relaxed. "Good evening, Demos. Has Lady Zyphyr awoken yet?"
'Awoken yet'? It's almost late evening.
"Indeed she has. Just walk inside, Tavvi of the Lightning Flight."

Inside, there were more starter dragons, none of which were gened. Was I her first non-starter dragon?
"Tavvi?"
"Lady Zyphyr, how are you?" Tavvi smiled to a woman wearing a dark hooded cloak and a dress. Was it to represent her support to the Arcanist? She seems a little dark. I can see a dark-green fae dragon on her shoulder with a tail wrapped securely around to keep herself perched.
"Still tired, honestly." She looked over Tavvi's shoulder to me. "You've actually brought him here? Are you sure it's okay for me to keep him?"
"Don't worry about it. He's shy at first, but he'll warm up eventually." Tavvi reaches over and pulls me from her back and sets me down in front of her just as 2 more guardians, both females, walked in and examined me.

During my first month in this lair, I noticed how Lady Zyphyr was almost always devoid of emotions, never quite expressing emotions, unless Tavvi was around to visit. She does seem to enjoy playing with other hatchlings as well until it's time for them to either be sold, traded, or exalted.
Me? Well, she decided to call me SilverClaw, due to my grey coat and green wings that reminded her of nature. I didn't know what was up to her stoic expressions, but I did eventually warmed up to her and the other dragons. Demos's baby guardians were always kind of rough to play with before their auctions or exalts, but they ARE indeed large dragons, even as babies. Just like the ridgebacks.
Since I was her first non-starter dragon, she enjoys taking me with her to stroll through the Starfall Isles as I grew and learned more of the Arcanist, wandering to other elemental lands every now and then. As a young adult, I was relied on, along with Demos to guard the lair from intruders, but because I was much smaller than Demos, I was more of a scout or personal guard, since there are some places Demos can't fit in to protect her. She was often wary of the creatures (not the dragons--much) of the Scarred Wastelands. Is there some sort of feud between them?

I wish that I wasn't the smallest Wildclaw in the clan.


As of 7/1/2014:
After 2-4 months of repeated tri-scatter scrolling, the last attempt was settled to what Lady Zyphyr at least admires. Due to my coloring, I am no longer "SilverClaw", but StahlKralle. German for Steel Claw.
