Freija

Frieja, originally of clan Salamancer of the Ice Flight, was an adventurous young Snapper, and always slipping away from the clan on adventures.

One ill-fated day, Freija was chasing ice sprites at the edge of the snowfields, when a rather grumpy Arcane Flight dragon crossed her. Being young and adventurous, Freija tried to play with the old Arcane Guardian. The Guardian became enraged, and began to chase Freija. Realizing she was in danger, Freija ran for her clan's cave. But she was young, and being a Snapper didn't help...

As the angry Guardian closed in, Kamatz of clan Sinrite happened to spot the scene unfolding. Clan Sinrite is very protective of its fellow Ice Flight family and territory, and Kamatz is the most protective of his clan. Before the Arcane dragon could gain any more ground on Freija, Kamatz swooped down to intervene, landing in a spray of snow and ice that nearly blinded the Arcane Guardian. The chase stopped cold, but now two strong Guardians were face-to-face, and sharing different opinions of what to do with little Freija...

Fortunately, the Arcane dragon realized just how far into the icefields he had chased Freija, and wasn't going to risk a fight. After putting on a token show to save face, the old grouch launched into the air and flew away towards its home.

Upon returning Freija to her home with clan Salamancer, Kamatz turned to leave for clan Sinrite. As he was about to take flight, a sparkle caught his eye. Freija had followed Kamatz, and wanted to go on another adventure. Kamatz gave the clan Salamence broodmother an exasperated look, to which the broodmother simply smiled, and mentioned how wonderful it would be for Freija to go stay with clan Sinrite. Kamatz was beginning to wonder what he had gotten himself into...
