So, Rohan. Rohan...

The Interrers were in fact sent to collect and burn his body, only to find he was a completely botched assassination attempt. Poisoned? Yes. Unresponsive? Yes. Breathing and with a heartbeat? Yes!

The leader of a clan of light imperials, he was unpopular due to his flight and thus they attempted to depose him, assuming an imperial-based group of undertakers wouldn't risk coming close to the corpse of one of their kin.

They took him in, nursed him back to health, he returned to the clan and well - he doesn't much like to talk about it, but he assured he did take care of his would-be assassins before putting someone else in charge and retiring.

He didn't much care for work as a leader, and instead chose to join up with his saviours and protect them in turn. Many of the younger members see him as a father figure for his warm personality and gentle guidance.
