Biography
Scathach arrived from the auction house around the same time as Charlie and Kim, though was sectioned off with the other grey or white Coatls and had not interacted with them before. She, too, arrived with the expectation of being exalted, too aware of being seen as an ill-omen by many clans, and was pleasantly surprised when the opposite turned out to be true. Upon arriving at the lair, she was greeted by Surt singing a song to try and cover up the noise from his digging, with Seth doing his best to imitate bird calls to his new-found Storm Seeker, and felt at home instantly.
She nests on the roof of the lair by the other Coatl and the Fae, both to best absorb the heat from the sun during the day, and to study weather patterns, as the effect of magic on the ocean is of great interest to her. Her personal alcove is chock full of meteorological equipment given en-masse by Celia, from charts to telescopes to barometers, and is the first to warn of an unexpected freeze, rain of magical fireballs, or incoming coastal storm due to her vantage point.
Her acquisition of her familiar was an unexpected one by all involved. Shortly after returning from battle, Surt issued an alarm that there was an enemy outside the lair. When the main fighting team, composed of himself, Celia, and, Servion arrived, they found Scathach quietly talking to a wolf that had followed them home, somehow knowing that it was there before them. Startled by their arrival, she nonetheless chirped a welcome at them and asked if he could stay, and that she would take full responsibility for him. As to how she knew the wolf was there, Scathach refused to answer outside of tapping her glasses. Despite Surt's objections, he was overruled, and the wolf plodded after them as quietly as he arrived. Since then, he has settled into the lair and responds to conversations as if he understands them, even appearing to take part with annoyed huffs and sighs or excited yips.
Scathach follows each exaltation carefully, but instead of voting on the subject, tests the dragon in question to see their ability and reasoning. If asked to decide before she has a chance, she will make a quip about how she is too short-sighted for the subject, motioning to her glasses, and needs to to aid her vision further. The rest of the clan has accepted this roundabout practise, as both participants feel more secure about the decision after she is satisfied, and have stopped rushing her opinion.
