Khan didn't know how he came into the world...but he remembered seeing the Windsinger. The then Guardian's first memory was seeing the Windsinger, seeing His calm smile, and hearing his singing voice, telling him that he was to form a clan, and that he was blessed by the Windsinger himself. With that in his mind, he strove out to form a clan, finding a perfect spot for one. Just as he started breaking ground, a small Fae found him, introducing herself as Tarcy. Immediately, Khan felt a bond with her, and welcomed her to his side. His relationship with her budded into something more, and the two fell deeply in love. And because of their love, Tarcy became Khan's charge, and he protected her from anything and everything. His large, Guardian body, would protect Tarcy's smaller one.

Soon, dragons started coming into the clan, one by one. Each one was given a role, by Khan, and looked after by Tarcy. They both ruled over the clan, which came to be named as the Windcurrent Clan. First starting at the Zephyr Steppes, the clan started near the edge of the cliff, overseeing the Sea of a Thousand Currents. With the gentle breezes going over the steppes, and the currents of the sea at the bottom of the cliff, the name came to be--Windcurrent. The borders of the Windcurrent Clan started to quickly expand, as more and more dragons came in. Dens were even being built underground, as well as a dungeon area, for those troublemakers that needed to be locked up. In the beginning, though, the dungeon area remained untouched--all the dragons that came in were kind, and got along with each other fairly well.

As more dragons started to come into the clan, making it bigger, Khan realized that a bigger clan was going to be a problem. He didn't want to be mean, and rule with an iron fist. But he didn't want anarchy to rule, either. Khan found himself struggling, heavily relying on Tarcy to keep tabs on the clan, as well as for emotional support. And while Khan wasn't too possessive of his power, the Windsinger's words kept echoing in his head--that he was born to form a clan, and was blessed by the Windsinger to do so. So Khan continued to be a leader to the clan...and then incidents started happening. Seemingly one right after the other...

The first incident, was with a fellow clan member secretly experimenting on his mate, then harming a dragon from an allied clan. He was given a public trial, and instead of executing him--which was the major consensus--they forced a breed change on him, turning him from a Tundra, to a weak Fae, where he was then locked up in the dungeon, never to be let out. Months later, two other clan members secretly killed him, permanently blinding one of the knights, and fleeing the clan. And while arguing with Commandant about forming a military...the Shade came in. Brought in by Heolstor. At first, it was a simple Shade infection, something that could be easily treated...but his condition went on for too long, and he brought destruction to the clan. Transforming from his Shade-touched state, Heolstor headed the Shade into the clan, causing widespread death and destruction. During this attack, Tarcy had tried to stop Heolstor, only to be severely injured by him, and nearly consumed by the Shade. Khan tried to fight him, but was overwhelmed as well. If it hadn't been for the Shade Warrior, Domhnall, a lot more would've been gone...including Tarcy's life.
During recovery, the clan rebuilt itself, bringing in new members to help the old ones, helping to rebuild their clan. However, Tarcy's condition was critical. Her small Fae body couldn't sustain her for long. She needed a breed change to save her life. Khan, injured himself, wanted Tarcy to agree to it first, before giving her a breed change to save her life. He successfully revived her, and while she didn't want to change...she didn't want to leave Khan alone. After changing her breed, Khan changed his, as well. This was a new start for the clan...and a new start for him. He changed into a Ridgeback, and despite his change, he still considered Tarcy his change. His scales were poisoned by the Shade, while fighting it, as were Tarcy's. They weren't the same dragons that formed the Windcurrent Clan. They had changed...but this time, for the better.

Despite his breed change, Khan's personality hasn't changed at all, which was what Tarcy was worried about, when Khan went from a Guardian, to a Ridgeback. While he was larger, he still had a huge soft spot for Tarcy. Her touch melts him into goo, especially if she scratches under his chin--something she did often as a Fae, when he was a Guardian and still had his beard. He's still kind, but firm when it comes to certain rules of the clan. He now wears his armor around the clan, prepared to protect anyone at a moment's notice. And while he's still not on board with Commandant's idea for a military, he is agreeing to teach incoming dragons how to fight, should they wish. That way, if something happens again...they'll be prepared. They won't lose members again, not in the amount they did before.

However, Khan is still unsure of himself. Will he still be a good leader, after the Shade attacked the clan? Will the others still respect him? What if someone tries to overthrow him? While he and Tarcy lead side-by-side, he appointed Yomigami as his second-in-command, after seeing the Imperial's skill on the battlefield, against the Shade. With Tarcy and Yomigami at his side, Khan knows he'll lead the clan for years to come. Even if he's hit by doubt occasionally, he knows he can work through it, and come out on top. The clan is his life--and he'll protect it, until he can no longer stand.
