My name is Steve. I was born in the Leviathan Trench and was raised by my mother Tania. I don't remember why I left home so young but I'm glad I did. I've been wandering with this clan since the very beginning, starting in Lightning. At the time there were only 5 of us. There was the original clan leader, a Tundra, Pet. And his partner June. Then there was a Nocturne, Duchess, from a far away clan in Ice. With him he brought Gwen, a young coatl. And then there was me, a lone Snapper from Water. I came over as just a cub and grew up with these dragons. They were my first family since I left home.

Together we grew to an even larger clan. Eventually Pet and June when on their way to our man, Boss Man. They left with many of our young ones and other companions for the cause. Even my own young left along side them, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better team to join the battle. Before they left, I was appointed as the new clan leader. Gwen and Duchess had both settled down with their own mates and were having families of their own. I had no one, permanent at least. Many of them left to war. Living in Lightning, you had to stay busy and there was no better way to serve our god than to join up arms with him. But in my heart, I could never leave, so I took the stance as clan leader.

We spent a while there in the canyons and it was our home to us. But soon things were getting busy, more than usual. Stromcatcher was getting louder, and the air was getting much more electric than we had ever seen. we had only been there for a few months but quickly we learned this was the one time of year to kick things into overdrive. It was our time to celebrate. We had heard rumors of other lands around the world celebrating their deity in a week long celebration, but we just brushed them off as rumors. Soon our own was right around the corner and it was go time. Thundercrack called for planning and more dragons to join the war than ever before, and we weren't ready. Nonetheless, we made the best of it and pushed out as many soldiers as we could but I knew deep down that we couldn't stay there any longer. We were being left in the dust and couldn't keep up with the demands. After the Thundercrack Carnivale, I took the clan and we moved away to a place much calmer and peaceful. We had so many young with us, so many families emerging. Gwen's two oldest daughters stayed with us and soon we were creating generations. The canyon was no place to raise a clan of this size. So we sent off our last team to the Stormcatcher before we crossed the Ashfall Waste with who ever was left.

We were no strangers to danger. So many of us had learned how to survive in such a bustling electric battle field, that these wastelands were nothing to us. The natives were kind and helped us cross, guiding us when we got lost and picking out less dangerous paths. Many of them took the hatchlings on their back, and guided us through until we found our new home. The air was hot and thick with smog, and the ground was alive with lava. A wrong step would land you in a world of pain. And flying wasn't advised for outsiders. We knew how to manage with lightning in the sky but at least we could still see. This world was much different even though they lived just next to us. Soon the winds picked up, and the fallen ash created a sort of welcome party for us. The gray landscape turned into a vibrant green and the smog eventually cleared out to the rich land of the Windswept Plateau.

We were finally home. Almost immediately you could feel the plateau sing with the sounds of our new neighbors. The skies were high, but the other dragons were even higher. The wind was as much as them as their own scales and blood. Laughter filled the air and you could feel the excitement around. Soon we were all off, diving through the skies together, soaring as high as we could and being guided by the wind under our wings. My best friend, Arwyn, was having the hardest times to adjust. Lightning was always her home. She was born there and had lived her whole life in those canyons. The sky wasn't supposed to be ruled by the wind, and you weren't supposed to be so carefree when there could be work to be done. She hung onto the busy ways of the old life style and kept us orderly. And I'm grateful she stayed with us despite all the changes to have happened.

Many of our old friends took off on their own but soon out population exploded. We had dragons from all over the world join with us and become part of our family. A young snapper who has been blessed with eternal youth, Samhain. He showed up on halloween and resembles a small pumpkin. He's a favorite among the ladies here, even though he's technically older than many of them. We started getting really important dragons, ambassadors. Each one joining us to represent their home lands and help us for when our cultures start to clash. Arwyn took the role as our Lightning ambassador without haste and has been our most active. We've had a few pass down their roles to younger dragons before leaving the clan, but that sort of change is very common here I'm learning. Wind is a place of changes and mobility. Freedom is very important here and welcomed before most else. It's hard to ignore how deeply Windsingers ideals have become our own. We were even granted to live in one of the most valued cliffs of his land, The Twisting Crescendo. It's a gift to be so close to Windsinger. We've sent many off to aid him and so we have been brought closer to history to truly become the best Windwalkers before leaving to join his side.

Since being here, I've met some of the best dragons. Men I can call brothers. Coda is our eldest, or rather he acts like he is. He was ready to be sent off to war and he was our boldest of men to be welcomed to our lair. A man of oddities and power. He had stumbled in from Light and was on his way to finding a god to serve when he came across us. His words were harsh and his manners were nonexistent, but he had a heart larger than he liked to show. He soon became comfortable with us and just never left. Then a tiny snapper rolled in one night, and he met Coda before any of us. Apparently he was from Light as well but wasn't sure how he got to us. Some beasts had just dropped him around and carried him across the other side of the land and he rolled in. We named him Berry, and he was the oddest cub I had ever seen. Time with the beasts must have added to his personality or something. He was gentle and wild, he barked at the leaves in the wind and chased down wild bugs even though we had a plethora of food for him at home. He too enjoyed his oddities and he looked up to Coda like a big brother. And I was his mentor. Without any actual parents we had to teach him how to not bite the other children. As he got older he was able to express himself better. He taught us his jokes and he became the favorite with the hatchlings. If anyone needed to smile, Berry was their man.
We just got a new member to the family. He calls himself Fort Grump. Berry found him a sweater, said he was too grumpy without one. He came over from Arcane and has a sort of odd personality. He likes to talk in riddles and spends so much time comparing everything to the stars. Must be the arcane in him. We don't have many like him but even he seems odd for them. Berry seems to like him though so we'll just have to see what happens.
