Zebrine
Shaman and Plague Representative
Mate of Taver

"Come, child. It is far too late to be outside right now. Isn't it past your bedtime?"

Zebrine, the founder (and my progen), started The Starlight Seekers as a small nameless clan, with no intentions of it growing to the size it is today. Zebrine comes from a clan of plague dragons who had not cared about one another and everyone had kept to themselves mainly. This had always bothered Zebrine, and she was often told growing up that she cared too much what others thought about her. Once she had become an adult, she knew she could no longer stay here. Staying in this clan had made her feel restless, and she longed to venture out and find her calling in life. Once Zebrine became an adult, her birth clan eventually fell apart and disbanded. The mirror dragon was then left alone, without a family.

Among her travels, she met Taver, a young adult tundra also living in The Scarred Wasteland, plague territory. (And my random progen.) Zebrine was reserved, with no knowledge of how to reach out to other dragons, as this was how she was raised to be. She couldn’t understand what Taver, who was the complete opposite in personality, saw in her. He was friendly, humble, and a gentleman to her. Taver told Zebrine that he was alone as well, and offered to join her in her travels. Zebrine, hesitant at first, agreed to this and the two eventually had formed a strong bond together, and even, became mates.

Many dragons eventually joined Zebrine and Taver, and soon their travels led them to The Tangled Wood, shadow territory. As the clan grew in sizes, Taver began to feel restless again. He left them, going back to serve the PlagueBringer to help fight back against the shade. Zebrine felt heartbroken after this, and passed on the leadership role to Charon, a guardian dragon who was older in age with much more experience and wisdom than herself. Zebrine then went on to become the clan’s Shaman after becoming interested in taboo and the afterlife.

One evening while Zebrine was performing her Shaman duties, she came across an injured Death Seeker. She knew that she couldn't possibly just leave it out in the wilderness, as it would certainly die. She decided to take it back to her den with her and nurse it back to health. This was during the time that Taver was away with the PlagueBringer, so she enjoyed having the Death Seeker's company. The two formed a strong bond and the bird now helps out Zebrine with her Shaman duties and rituals.

Zebrine and Taver had one child, Harwin. After Taver left, Zebrine had another child, Gavilar, with Nebula. She regretted doing this after he left, but still certainly loves Gavilar as a mother would. Taver, many months later, has returned home from war and was welcomed home with open arms, and a very happy Zebrine.
