Hex was trained by the blademaster Renario himself. After he left his master Hex journeyed to enroll in the yearly championship. Along the way he met the nameless warrior. The nameless warrior asked "Whats the meaning of being the best swordmaster in the world if that sword of yours isnt put to good use?" With that the nameless warrior left.

Not far ahead Hex saw a village under siege by a group of bandits. Without thinking Hex rode in and slaughtered the bandits. After that he knew that he should be serving a higher cause and joined the Queens army.
