 Mosar was separated from his hunting pack in a thunderstorm. Injured, he sought refuge in a cave where he encountered Surasa, a Guardian on her Search who had also chosen that cave to wait out the storm. They agreed to stay together for proctection and better hunting, at least until Mosar found his hunting pack again. They hatched a nest together, though they both quickly figured that they were not suitable mates.

As time went on, more and more dragons joined them and the cooperation out of convenience slowly transformed into a clan. They looked to him as their leader, especially due to his experience leading his old hunting pack, though he always stressed that he would not remain with them but would rejoin his old pack. Given that he hadn't been actively for them for weeks, however, his clan mates didn't take him too serious.

He gave up all pretence shortly after Kashira joined their clan when he began courting her.

Even though he has now admitted that he is not only part of the clan but its leader, his nature makes him crave being out hunting and travelling. As such he often leads the hunt while his Second-in-Command and his advisors remain at the lair.
