Frear is third in command within the Piscium Militia but he is not underappreciated in his abilities in battle. Frear is a ruthless and hostile guard dog to his comrades and more than often he will rip enemies or even passer-by's apart to protect his pack. Frear remainds battle-hungry and driven to kill even when he is home and no threat is imminent. With the difficulties of his personality and being, Nankaina found controlling him complex, but not impossible and with time Nankaina gained his utmost loyalty and obedience. She is the only being he respects and completely listens to. Raito is acceptable but his obedience and loyalty remains mostly with Nankaina.

While craving battle, sparring with Frear is almost impossible without seriously injuring both parties as Frear fights without holding back and always usually injures himself as well. Due to the ruthlessness of his skills, a training partner didn't often stick around. Upon meeting Phytolacca, an assassin of the clan, Frear's tastes were saticfied as he found a sparring partner worth battling with. Phytolacca was just as ruthless and dangerous as he was and despite her untrustworthy nature, she grew fond of battling with Frear. Both parties gained skill as well as being satisfied with battle when there was none to be had.
