Biography
It is unusual for for a Mirror to live with other dragon breeds.
Dame Verdigris was raised to be a leader of a Mirror pack, but she did not stay with her kind to live a hard but free life in the wastes. Verdigris considers her clan to be her pack now; she began as their alpha and mother, and has lived to become the patrician of a large, industrious clan.
She is proud and fierce and filial, valuing dragons of strong character (even if their character is strongly officious). She and her mate built their clan from only a handful of loyal dragons and a small lair in the Ashfall Wastes.
Oxblood is always by her side, a powerful and level-headed suitor who followed her from her birth-pack. Her firstborn daughter is Madderlake, the only hatchling to survive her first and only clutch with Oxblood. Verideris and Vestorian are her other hatchlings, fathered by a courtier. They have a contentious relationship with Madderlake, but are considered no more or less worthy of status.
Dame Verdigris has a mellow, commanding voice, and a weakness for misfits.
She has an appreciation of metalwork– another peculiarity, for her kin lived spartan lives without much adornment. She is fond of collecting both armor and those dragons whose skills are metallurgical. Of all the metals, she has a particular affinity for copper.
She enjoys reading, artistry, and the hot amber light of Ashfall, where the night is always lit by molten rivers, and the forbidding blue-black cones of rock hide the glitter of wrought finery.
Her familiar's name is Cuprus.
