Luster, co-founder of the Sankari clan, has an insane devotion to the pride of all Mirror dragons. She is frightfully offended by the fact that Mirrors are regarded as pests by other dragons, and has spent most of her life trying to change that impression. Her fierce pride is the cause for many block-headed decisions. Luster is incredibly protective over her loved ones, caring deeply for her children and clan mates. She is mated with Verjan, and while she doesn't pay much attention to him, he has her loyalty when the going gets rough. She has a rigid set of morals and is cold to those who disobey them. While outwardly respectful, Luster's passive-aggressive tendencies sometimes cause chaos in the lairs of her enemies.

history

Luster's parents had imbued in her the traits of loyalty, aggression and, above all, incredible pride. Already fierce by nature, Luster had no hesitations in attacking anyone who looked at her the wrong way. As a hatchling, she was never exposed to other dragons, knowing only the savage family that a Mirror clan provided.

Easily provoked and forever irrational, it didn't take Luster long to pick an unwise fight with one of her clan mates. Unpracticed teeth crashed against each other in am amateur clash of wills. The fight was long, but no stalemate, and in hours Luster fled with her tail between her legs. Homeless and friendless, she wandered the Shifting Expanse, surviving the only way she knew how: the way of the Mirrors, scavenging and stealing from other dragons' territory. She met many opponents during this time, and for the first time was exposed to a brutal prejudice. Mirrors were pests.

Her pride once again offended, Luster turned that shock into strength and began a crusade. She would prove the worthiness of Mirrors or die trying. Predictably, she received little support, until coming across a Fae with equal fervor.

Verjan worked to please Stormcatcher as enthusiastically as Luster did to preserve her dignity. Both lonely and inspired, the two agreed to ally and fight for their causes together. As one-on-one partnerships tend to, their friendship eventually grew to courtship. Luster and Verjan committed to each other; though their passions were different, they were alike in their fanaticism, and that kept them together.

This mutual support led to the founding of the Sankari clan. Other dragons became encouraged by the couple's determination, and slowly the clan began to grow.
