The General, she is Khairon's wartime champion and advisor.

Every winter solstice Ome carries a flame to the heart of Konrani forest. Sungrass, which has grown all year just outside the forest entrance, is cut and brought deep into the forest at Ran's altar. When the sungrass is aflame and its smoke persuades the honey-buzzards return the next morning, the pilgrimage is complete.
