Story

Saphira set out for her Search the very day she came of age, proud and independent as she is. And utterly impatient. Like most things, she expected to find her charge rather sooner than later, yet the journey kept stretching, the seasons passing and doubt gnawing at her confidence, the only company being a Storm Seeker she uncreatively calls Storm, who has taken a liking to perching on her horns.

It was at the moment when she was considering to give up for good when she pretty much tripped over Sky, an injured Mirror who lay sprawled among the thorny bushes of the Shifting Expanse. Not pity drove her to care for him, but the desire to do anything meaningful at all, and be it only to keep her cool around this short-tempered, stubbornly aggressive dragon who could not do without help yet refused to accept it at the same time.

Looking back, Saphira never quite understood how they managed to not rip out each other's throat, nor how exactly she found and carved out a lair for them, taking care of Sky - and even less how in the Stormcatcher's name Sky decided to stay rather than bolting the moment he was strong enough to do so.

Fact is, he remained at her side, and some part of her was immensely grateful for it. Despite the constant snapping and arguing, she had found a purpose of being if not a charge - for she strictly denies the thought Sky could be her charge - a duty, a responsibility.

Being the stronger of the two, Saphira became the unofficial leader of their little lair (although Sky never leaves out a chance to challenge her).
