A commanding dragon, Lily is not afraid to put you in your place if you choose to step out of it. The legion is a bunch of troublemakers, and Lily is the one who keeps them in line and out of trouble. At the same time, Lily's big heart and willingness to listen to the troubles and soothe away the sorrows of the other dragons have earned her the place of den mother. The older legion members may sneer at the idea of needing a mother at their age, but there is no dragon in the lair who has not been seen sitting by Lily's hearth, eating the snacks she keeps for just such occasions, and pouring their heart out to her.



Some speculate that Lily adopted the legion as her own because, as a lover of women, she was unlikely to have children of the own, but Lily does not encourage such gossip. Her private life is her own, and while she makes no secret of her partners she dislikes the sidelong gazes and furtive glances of gossipers. “Come talk to me,” she tells the dragons, “If you want to know about me. We can have a cup of tea and a chat.”
