Nix and Sek are one of the two "progenitor dragons", The Black Vein's first experiment and failure. Partnered with Cabris and Saw. This pair is chaotic and unpredictable unlike their partner. Born from a space alloy unearthed in the ice domain, these dragons prove too dangerous for continued study and are instead kept under a strict lockdown beneath The Black Vein. The pair reproduces asexually and therefore hatchlings are frequent.

Despite the weight shown upon scales, Umbra Progenitors appear to be much heavier than any weighing system seems to let on. Their bones are incredibly dense and made from the same dug up; space alloy it was birthed from. They often show strange behaviour such as rapidly vibrating, messing with electricals and a disinterest in eating.
