Kaito

Always an easy-going sort, Kaito was more than happy to go along with the mysterious female Guardian he encountered on the cliffside of the Windswept Plateau. He had been on his way to yet another excursion into the Sea of a Thousand Currents to try and catch a new specimen for his tank, but the certainty in Tinuviel's voice convinced him to follow.

And somehow, he just never got around to leaving again. He cared deeply for his new friend, even though he knew that theirs was never to be a lasting partnership. He watched with pride as their hatchlings grew and then moved on to their own destinies, but when Leon came along, Kaito stepped graciously aside with no resentment.

He's really more focused on perfecting his tank these days anyway. Fascinated by the beauty and variety of the fish he encountered on the reefs below the cliffs, he underwent a magical transformation, trading his fluffy Tundra coat for delicate fluttering Fae wings, so he could be smaller and fit into some of the hidden nooks of the reef, finding new and fascinating creatures there to bring back to his clan.

Kaito strikes many of his clan members as a bit of an oddity, and most aren't really sure what role he fills or why he even remains. But he stays out of trouble, for the most part, and his new finds always delight the hatchlings and many of the adult dragons, so no one really objects to his presence (or the ever-growing amount of space his tanks are taking up).
