_{Salvator's origins are quite a mystery as the large dragon very rarely speaks of his past and even less about his childhood. The most anyone really understands is that his life had always belonged to the way of the pirate. At a young age, he was nabbed from his nest by a villainous coatl who cared little about those around him, focusing solely on himself. Salvator grew up to be a plundering pirate who scoured the Sea of a Thousand Currents in search of treasure and relics of value. The life he led, though exciting, offered little of the adventure he yearned for in adulthood. The grown guardian was simply forced to sit around and await his orders, seeing nothing besides wherever he was sent next for treasure. All, besides the captain of course, expected his betrayal as he snagged a bit of treasure from the vault and fled, leaving behind his previous life for one of adventure and exploration. Naturally he was often chased by his former captain, however when bigger game was found, Salvator was forgotten, leaving him to settle down within Tsunami Flats as a loner. He remained by himself for some time until a lost Imperial and Fae arrived from the Shadow Flight. Both claimed to be from a clan there, however neither spoke much on it, instead wishing to stay in the area as it offers a fine selection of prey. Being a loner, Sal could've cared less what they did around there, however it was quickly make clear that neither dragon was equipped to survive in their new aquatic habitat. Grudgingly, the guardian came to their aid, teaching them to fish and capture the incests hovering over the water. He was even kind enough to teach them to swim. The two quickly grew attached to the elder dragon, even though he didn't like them that much to begin with. The trio worked together, something that Sal had voted against doing, to survive. Over time, the amount of dragons in their group began to grow, making less of a little band and more so a proper clan. Due to the fact that Salvator was the biggest guy around and also the one who, unintentionally, brought everyone together, he was dubbed the Leader of the clan. Something that he wasn't to happy about. Sure the imperial, Magnus, was mostly doing all of the hard labor, however the clan flourished by simply seeing their strong leader who overtime came to accept his role and serve accordingly.

As his clan expanded, mostly filling up with coatls which are Salvator's least favorite breed due to his past, the biggest issue within the clan became the lack of money to sustain it. The would often sell items that were dug up from the earth, however it quickly became clear that it would not be enough if the clan were to survive. It was Bitumen who initially suggested the idea of treasure hunting, due to Sal's previous life as a pirate. He believed that it would be the less dangerous and villainous way to go, while still providing a large income to the clan besides digging, scavenging and the coliseum. Finding no flaws in the plan, Salvator reached back towards his younger days to lead his clan in a new direction where they scoured the world for lovely trinkets and baubles as well as many other things to bring in income.

Overtime, another issue came to Salvator's attention. Many dragons who were born within the clan simply sat around and took up space. At first it really didn't bother him as he enjoyed watching dragons prance around with their amusing antics since they served no true purpose within the clan's ranks. However, as the lair space grew less and less, the guardian realized that he was unable to deal with the issue. Hatchlings were often forced to remain in the nesting grounds even after becoming old enough to join the rest of the clan due to the lack of space. A Nocturne known as Luna, though Sal ofter referred to her as the most useless within the clan, proposed and idea. Exalting. In the past, he had been a firm believer in the idea of all dragons finding their home within a fine clan, however as she explained the idea of the dragons forever serving the water lord and having all their needs met in return, the idea became a bit more appealing. It was then that he gave the order to Magnus and Bitumen to train up all dragons that he deemed unfit to live in the clan due to their lack of usefulness and then to pass them over to Luna who would proceed to exalt them to the Tidelord. Not only did this increase profits, but it helped clear up the lair as well.}
