Araven has been gifted with extraordinary intellect and reasoning skills. His interests mainly lie in engineering and technology. Unlike the innovative technological advancements produced by Lightning dragons, Araven specializes in creating mechanisms that work with gears and heat rather than electricity. He smiths his own materials from raw ores in the earth and produces machines so intricate and beautiful that it could be likened to artwork.
Araven particularly enjoys building clocks. He dedicates most of his free time to producing ever more extravagant and impressive clocks. His favorite so far has been a clock that utilizes a vial of mercury to indicate time. The mechanisms inside release a small amount of mercury into glass outlines of numbers that are not visible until filled with the liquid metal. The disappearing numbers are reminiscent of the digital clocks found in the Lightning Flight, but is simply an analog clock with additional mechanisms.
However, despite his expertise in engineering, Araven has the personality and depth of an almond.
