Once a member of a near-mindless pack of Mirrors wandering the Plateau, Yuki's life changed when he accidentally fell into the depths of a ravine. He was left to die by the rest of his pack - mistakenly assumed to be dead. He spent several long days trapped at the bottom of the chasm with his injuries.

And then came Kirara.

The young Fae was part of a colony living at the bottom of the rift, and she and her kin spent the next several months nursing their unexpected visitor back to health. Eventually he regained enough strength to set out from the ravine in search of his long-gone pack, and when he left, she was at his side. They have been inseparable ever since.

Yuki has never found his missing pack, but in his travels searching for them, he's built a new sort of family from the various misfits and friends that have chosen to accompany him and his mate on their quest. Clan Sabrewing is more journey than a well-maintained group, but Yuki finds he enjoys leading them all the same. All that wander aren't always lost after all.
