Sapphire

She's quiet, she's angry, and you should probably check that you have all your possessions.
Sapphire is one of the feistiest dragons in Midnight Shadows, despite being smaller than many of the foes she challenges. Her familiar, Willow, is a suspicious ferret that Sapphire loves but is also irritated by, as Willow would much rather sleep or steal than play with Sapphire. Sapphire loves animals and flying. She puts up a front of being fearsome and all-knowing, but inwardly she is scared and quiet. She loves both Tang and Leto, adoring their relationship together. Tang was her first mate, but Leto became both their mates when she was led to the clan. It was very awkward in the beginning, but Leto, Tang, and Sapphire are very happy together.

She grew up in a family of thieves, but after a fight with a dangerous and high-ranking Ridgeback that led the band of rogues her family belonged to, she ran away and joined Lavender’s clan. She suffered much abuse at the hands of the Ridgeback, and now suffers low self esteem and paranoia at raised voices. Leto and Tang's different version of Draconian is calming to her. They reassure her every day that they love her and she is important, and acquire sapphire jewelry and flowers that suit her. Abuse takes time to heal, and Leto and Tang work hard to guide Sapphire from it.
