(I tried my hand at writing some darker, grittier lore and then I made myself sad. Poor bab needs hugs. This whole thing is a WIP, so please don't be upset!)

Gethin is a little bit of an insecure mess, but also somehow manages to look incredibly snooty at the same time. He can usually be found grooming his golden scales or polishing his pearl repetitively. Ah, pearlcatchers.

He hoards shiny gems, and if he really likes you he will make you some jewelry as a present. He loves hanging out in the crystal pools area with the coli team and Kumori (who is there with extra health potions in case anyone gets hurt).

Really, though, Gethin is always super worried about something terrible happening to him that will alienate him from the ones he loves. At first he was lost as an egg, so he never got to know his real parents (an imp and a pearlcatcher themselves). The all-pearlcatcher light clan that took him in was very prejudiced against imperials, so he was kicked out when they found out that he was in love with Kumori. He's terrified of going through a horrible situation like that again. To cope, he tries to make himself as useful as possible. He compulsively cleans and straightens things up around the lair, checking them again and again until they're just perfect. If something seems off, he will panic and have to fuss with it until it seems right again. But sometimes he just feels like a horrible burden and like he should just leave the clan of his own volition to save everyone else the trouble of having to banish him....

What Gethin doesn't know, though, is that everyone in the clan loves him way too much to ever let him leave. The Imperial he ran away with, of course, loves him to bits and would never let him go. He has a lot of friends here who are very gentle with him and try to reassure him very often that he is loved and important. Underneath all that fear of rejection is a wondeful dragon who loves making other laugh, having fun making jewelry apparel, and just enjoying life with his new family.
