Rowan
the biggest bird nerd


When the other naturalists in the clan decided to study plants, ocean life, or other such quiet endeavors, Rowan couldn't deny their fascination and love for birds. Their chamber in the lair is filled with lovingly cared for caged birds: parrots, songbirds, corvids and more. The screaming cacaphony can be heard all throughout the clan territories, much to the other dragons' dismay.

There have been times that the others have gone to ask Rowan to get rid of the birds, or at least move them somewhere else, but upon seeing the way that they flock to the young guardian in adoration, with absolutely no fear of becoming lunch, it always seemed cruel to deny them their passion. And besides--their works on the social behaviors of mixed species flocks have won several awards, so clan matriarch Sowilo is happy to have them around, provided that their menagerie is far away from her quiet library.
