 BIO:

Not much was known about Orionis when he came to the clan - but his presence was instantly painted by his stern gaze and, overall, seriousness. Orionis is the first mate on the dirigible 'The Starling', and will not allow any fooling around or lack of safety brought upon the ship. He is hard to surprise and harder to impress, and seems to be un-phased by nearly anything.

Despite seeming emotionless, Orionis is passionate for art in all forms - but mainly music. He is a collector of fine art and will preferably spend evenings playing on his prized Stradivarius, and if not, it is stored safely in its display case as the centerpiece of the dirigible's main room, maps and framed art surrounding it. It goes without saying that nobody is allowed to touch it.

Orionis appreciates fine art, fine food, and would probably be in his own element in a museum, surrounded by prized possessions and treasure. This is why he has accepted the job - he is hoping to find some priceless statuette or an ancient urn on one of the trips.

He is mated for life to Charoite, and all about their relationship is unknown, as Orionis keeps it in absolute secrecy - not out of shame or fear, but because he does not want his love life to be the main topic on Swipp's Swap Stand. He will not hold back from showing his affection in private, however, and has composed several pieces and dedicated them to Charoite.

While he and his Captain, Telavalieth, were at a tavern, he overheard a Bogsneak bragging to a Wildclaw about a recent acquisition his boss had made, a Stradivarius. He had acquired it from a Pearlcatcher who had borrowed money from him. Orionis was no longer paying attention to anything happening around him, other than eavesdropping on the Bogsneak and the Wildclaw. After the pair had left, Telavalieth turned to him and casually mentioned that his personal landing craft was having engine problems, and that Orionis could take it out and try to figure out what was wrong with it. Orionis knew his Captain, and he knew that he was being told that he was allowed to use the captain's personal craft to relieve the Bogsneak of his new acquisition.

Later that night Orionis headed to the home of the Bogsneak. While checking to make sure the coast was clear, he overheard the Bogsneak from the tavern, talking to someone he called "boss man". They were talking about other dragons who had borrowed treasure who could not repay the loan on time, discussing the collateral that had been given against the loan.

Orionis snarled - this Bogsneak deserved what he was about to do. Breaking into the vault, he began to unload its contents into his air vessel. Just as he was packing up the Stradivarius, Charoite also broke in to the Bogsneak's vault. She was after some charts and a map, and while he was helping her gather them up, they were spotted by a Guardian security drake. They made their getaway aboard his air vessel. Once in the clear, Orionis shared what he had overheard about the Bogsneak, and he asked if she would assist him in returning some of the belongings that he had lifted from the vault. She agreed.

When the time came to return the Stradivarius to its owner, they found out that the Pearlcatcher had passed away from a broken heart, having lost his prized Stradivarius to the Bogsneak loan-shark. The Pearlcatcher's family wanted Orionis to keep it as they realized that he would play it and treat it with the utmost care. In honor of the Pearlcatcher's memory he agreed.

He and Charoite have been together ever since.
