Biography
Lord of Sundown

"I was born when the world was young, and I've killed for my place in it. The hunt is in my blood, yanno, weren't born an Imperial. But as much as I love the hunt, as much as the kill draws me... never have I been happier, but with little ones runnin' 'bout the lair."
-Cle
Ganymeyde's second, Colthair is the patriarch of his clan and defends their honor and safety in battle and is a primary caregiver to the many young dragons about them. He was born a Mirror before becoming an Imperial, and so enjoys the hunt, and he prefers to battle his dinner rather than scavenging it from the surrounding area. He is built with longer legs like a Mirror and is much better suited to running than most Imperials. He enjoys skulls and other morbid accessories, preferring to look strong and impressive for his Clan. Behind all these strange and eccentric quirks, though, Cole ends up being much nicer than Gany is like 80% of the time. He is rather silly, and fond of babies. A merry soul, Cole can often be found socializing with other dragons, sometimes from other clans. He was raised on the ancient language of High Nature, and has a very thick accent. (Sounds Welsh. Painfully, almost incoherently Welsh) His best friends are Rudolph and Kane, two of the oldest dragons in the clan, and together they are a formidable battling team. (Their claim to fame includes beating an Ice dragon attack whilst Ice had dominance, with no healing.) His favorite season, oddly enough, is winter, because winter is heralded by the appearance of both the Nocturnes and the Mimics, the latter of which he can hunt to his heart's content and bring home lots of the former. He loves babies so, so much. Most of his magic is strongest in fall, as his Nature abilities involve not the growth and agressive blooming of flowers, like Ganymeyde, but the changing of life that is associated with autumn and the dormancy that allows plants to survive winter. |

Ganymeyde doesn't even need to open her eyes to know that Colthair is passing beneath her tree. His presence reaches her first as sound; the dry clicking of his many bone adornments and then as smell; an odd mix of dried blood, crushed petals, and bleached bone.
Slinking back home in the dead of the night again. She flicks the end of her tail, tapping an irritated rhythm against a bough. With another hatchling in his fur and a lightened coin purse, I'll wager.
She waits until he's directly beneath her before calling out, "And what have you stuffed in your feathers this time, Cole dear?"
She can hear him freeze, his many ornaments clattering to a stop with him, and it is immensely satisfying.
"I was... just on a hunt." He is not a good liar.
"I couldn't sleep," he adds, lamely.
"Of course," Gany sighs, feeling her anger slipping away. She could never stay angry at him for long; his love for the hatchlings he brought home was always sincere. "Let them sleep with you tonight. I'll find a place for them in the clan tomorrow."
There's a rustle as Cole flares his wings, surprised. "Really? I mean - I will!"
And then he's bounding off into the clan's territory, making a bee-line for his roost.
"Wait!" Gany scrambles to the end of her branch. "How many did you buy?"
But Cole is already out of earshot, his powerful legs making short work of the miles. Gany shakes her head and returns to her roost. She will just have to find out tomorrow.
