A coatl born in the Southern Icefield, Soltin has always been torn between two allegiances. A bitter youth, he never felt at home in his birth clan and left it as soon as he could. He flew above the sea to reach the Ashfall Waste where he thought his fiery temperament would fit better. He was sorely disappointed as his quite neutral colours were seen as a sign of weakness, and his love of tales and history were not appreciated by the Fire clans he encountered.

He fled the land, but couldn't bring himself to return to his birthclan. But Coatl are social creatures and Soltin, for all his bitterness, couldn't stand the idea of staying alone.

After a long time of lonely wandering he reached the Starfall Isles. Exhausted and bereft he met Magda who stunned him with her magnificent laughter and endless tales. She brought him back to her clan, claiming that she had many more tales to offer him, and he hasn't left yet.

Not interested in magic nor science, he has taken upon writing down and studying Dragon Lore. He can usually be found taking furious notes while a clan member recalls fond memories of half-forgotten fables their parents used to tell. He even travels to nearby clans to collect stories, but always comes back, for Madga's tales are infinite and the most enthralling of them all.

Adulthood has mellowed him a little and he's made some good friends in the clan. He spends a lot of time with Thesan, whose company seems to appease him.
