Mate to Asala

Sataareth is a quiet and timid dragon, serving faithfully under the lead of Asala. He is strong and a handsome Guardian, the color of the Shale Threshers that stay in his company. His charred black horns give the perception of intimidation, and his long white-to-gray beard makes him seem older and wiser. His large underbite naturally appears to give him a smug, mocking look to his face. A dragon to be taken seriously, whether you fear his large obsidian talons or not. His Search lead him to the recently bustling Cove protected by a strong female Guardian. He felt his journey had ended here, and protected the area with vigor that caught the attention of the steely female. All silently recognized his claim to lead the guardians of the cove, as well as the one who keeps the peace among them. Murmurs spread among the few dragons in the clan that he would be a suitable male to rise beside Asala. Some even rumored that Sataareth made advances toward Asala, often dismissed due to the thought of this dull male actually having the intrepidity to flirt with her. But the undeniable proof, to some, was his constant gathering and collecting gifts to her, such as iron bracers that look elegant hanging on her ankles.

Rumors aside, Sataareth felt compelled to rise as the alpha male. Asala's gaze to remain upon him is a worthwhile goal, and the itch along his spine promised him an edge in this competition. At the end of Wavecrest Saturnalia, his spines finally (and painfully) ripped their way out of his molting skin and after cleaning himself thoroughly, he looked over himself, filled with silent glee over his denim blue spines. With the Tidelord's graces and bravado, he would finally chase Asala further.

Varatheela, sister-by-choice to Asala, aided with council to setting the two up. That night, he took up the emblem of their Flight proudly, and as a gift and declaration, Sataareth gave Asala a necklace that symbolized their connection. The Guardians took flight across the open expanse of the sea with talons locked in a dance that felt like a lifetime, her song to echo forever in his heart.

As the alpha male, Sataareth took up a more evident command over the clan. He is, for the most part, who everyone complains to first when there's a disagreement. He was seen most commonly walking around the Cove with four hatchlings at his feet, his head high and proud, or out scavenging for more supplies. His Threshers have taken an immense attachment to his clutch, and protect them fiercely.

As the babes grew up and started out on their own more, Sataareth had to get more clever with how he watched on them. He began to comprehend his Flight's natural gift of foresight, powers that his son, Talan, picked up even more quickly than he did himself. His family certainly liked to stretch to the farthest reaches of the cove and beyond, which worried him intensely. What troubled him more was that they began to take Maren under their wing, out of the few close schools of them that were passing by or lived nearby. Asala convinced him to open his heart to them, but his Threshers always watched very, very closely.
