Though he is blind, he can read the words inscribed onto his skin. Taliesin's master used magic to make sure his apprentice never forgot his lines. Each new poem or story that Taliesin has written or committed to memory since has also appeared on his skin. It's hard to see many of them as he hides those on his wings with colorfully plumage so that people don't know he's reading off a script. Since his wings have filled, though, the words have begun appearing along his body itself, which is much more noticeable. Being blind, Taliesin hasn't realized this and no one has had the heart to tell him they know. |
