Samhain, Clan Matriarch

As primary leader and spiritual crone, Samhain is practically living legend to those raised in the Nature of the Storm Clan. She is the sole living member of the three Clan founders, a vital key to the past who still guides in the present. It was her belief in the spirits of the great Shifting Expanse that forged their Clan as the strange anomaly it came to be amongst their Flight: a group driven to knowledge and learning but in the name of protecting the desert, rather than only harvesting its storms.

For all her age and perceived stature, Samhain is a fairly well-grounded leader. She often joins the Warriors on their outings with her loyal double-tailed Warcat at her side, wielding her command over the force of lightning to assist in their training of the young or hunting of prey. She visits the Scholars when she can, making time to read any scroll that is released from their collective, and inquiring after the progress of new technological efforts.

Yet when it comes to the Wheel, the spiritual branch of the Clan's leadership which is officially her purview, Samhain becomes far more of a mystery. If she is given reason for her decrees by the spirits or the Stormcatcher himself, she has never said so: save maybe to other Wheel ladies and lords.

Things simply are 'as they must be' and very few question it... at least aloud.
