I’m sorry, what did you say? A decorative statue? Oh! You must be referring to Bereft. Of course she turned to look at you, we loom in her lightless lair, and she is liable for whatever lurid lease she may leave us too! I wouldn’t quell your questioning so that we don’t despoil the dreams of her dozing denizens. Yes, she watches the hibernal den, ready to wake all of the grumpy, groggy, grim-minded dragons at even the slightest hint of a threat.

Her past? How does someone take a task like this on? Well, to be honest, I can’t really say. No, it’s not a secret, I just don’t know! The truth is that she was here before us, the Clappers, and this is a sort of agreement that Sisellivy and made. What does she gain from it? Well, hard to say. She doesn’t seem to eat, which is odd. I know this sounds silly, but there are rumors that the dragons that slumber in this silent suite share a single dream, though no one can remember more than a stony voice and confusion. Does she subsist on the dreams? Well, you wouldn’t be the first to suggest such a thing.
