Biography

Mephyst

Category5
Yarbles
Emilonk

This dragon is Mephyst. He's fairly old and doesn't like the young dragons very much. Whenever a young dragon approaches him with wide eyes, he growls and pushes them away with his foot or his tail. Mephyst was Nobiels mentor and helped Nobiel train his apprentices by giving tips from the side.

He had found a lovely mate in Myra, an imperial with the same genes as him. Together, they made a dark subspecies, the shadowfangs.
Mephyst doesn't mind the dark colors of his children or mate, he welcomes them instead.

Most of the dragons thought he was grumpy all the time because of the loss of his mate and his overall loneliness.
However, he wasn't completely lonely. The only two dragons he enjoyed being around were prince Dorian and his mate, and after they disappeared and were thought to have been assassinated, he grew very sad.

Most nights he sat and quietly fed his shellion, remmy, lots of treats.
He also likes to stoically tend to his bonsai tree, which windwalker used to admire for its courage at living in such a big world, and Myra adored for being so cute.

Mephyst has had many children, none of which he loved as much as Lavun. He taught him how to be a respected dragon and trained him on his fighting skills. Mephyst loved lavun so much, that he was confident in lavun being his successor. Mephyst knows he is old and though he knew that someday he would join the ranks of the windsinger, that time was not then, for he must love his son unconditionally. The other dragons thought it weird to see Mephyst so happy, because he never really was. But he rolled around and played with his son, both teaching him about life and wrestling and playing with him. Lavun has told his father "when I'm older, I'll be just like you." however, in an unfortunate turn of events, Lavun joined the ranks of the windsinger at an early age after venturing out to live in another lair.

After a much needed move to a lair in the nature flight, Mephyst started to connect with things again. The plants surrounding his home, and the dragons in it.
