Shallowlight

Shallowlight doesn't talk much to other dragons, and when she was brought back to the Decan clan she felt nervous and lost. She stuck close with her fellow Moon Dogs. She missed Ricket and Morningdreams intensely, but neither could come, owing their territory their lives. She wanted to stay with them, but the others told her she couldn't. She would die, they promised. They would continue to starve. She did hate starving. She thought it was worse to watch them all leave than to stay in the old territory and so she went on to the Viridian Labyrinth. She felt a new kind of joy when she discovered that it was true what they said. Decan Dragons could become wolves, and she was a Decan.

"There's nothing left to say? Right? I have to live with the decision to leave and I'm living."
