Zeus has been called a great many things. 'King of the Sky', 'Lord of Lightning', 'Womanizer'; they've all been given to him by members of his previous clan, along with a contemptuous sneer and bitter jealousy in their eyes. They were titles not spoken reverently, but mockingly.
Zeus had absolutely loathed it. He left, of course, searching for a new purpose somewhere else in the world. He found himself in the land of the Lightweaver; the Sunbeam Ruins. And he met Hera. |

She was beautiful; of course she was. But that wasn't what drew him in; it was the grim determination in her eyes, the thinly veiled blaze of her irises. She wanted new life, and he wanted one with her. So he followed her into this new clan.
He loves it.
He's got a proper family, now. One that doesn't mock him, one that respects him and treats him like an equal. Yes, he's flirted with, and he doesn't really mind their advances - until he sees the stark irritation in Hera's eyes. At which point he politely turns them down.
He's a bit arrogant sometimes. Maybe boasts a little. Can be a bit strict. But he loves the clan. They are his family, and he is theirs. That's all there is to it.
