Cast out from his clan on the Rotrock Rim, Lakhey intended to found his own clan in the Wandering Contagion. He wandered just a bit to far, however, and found himself lost in the neverending Sandwastes. For ages he wandered, his wings eventually giving out and forcing him to claw his way over the endless dunes. For every dune he crested, Lakhey swore he could see the far off reflection of the Wyrmwound. But every time he closed in on his prize, he found nought but a mirage. Finally the battering sunlight became to much for the lost Spiral and his once ruby eyes bleached white, his eyesight gone forever. Lakhey abandoned all hope and curled in the sand, awaiting the inevitable.

A gentle claw touched his arm, Lakhey jolted up, unable to see who was there. A fellow spiral, who smelled of snow and pine perched on the sand near him. She helped him up and flew him out of the imposing desert to a blissfully dark and cool forest, to the crumbling bones of an ancient Imperial where he could heal in the silence. He remains there to this day, finding comfort in the darkness. Lakhey still awakes in the night, raving about the phantom Wyrmwound. But Skyglade is always there to sooth him, calm his raving, and bring him back to reality.

A hydra scorpion was one of the last things Lakhey saw in the wastes before his vision faded for good. Now this one serves as a seeing-eye scorpion.
