Biography
Everyone knows who Nightwing is. One would want to know who exactly is taking care of their hatchlings, at least. Nightwings silence at first is normally off putting to most dragons. Instead of responding with words, the smaller dragon is normally secluded to only nods or shakings of his head.
It isn't that Nightwing is mute, as he can speak clearly and fully whenever he wants to. To him, the phrase " Actions speak louder than words " is greatly used in his life. He feels firmly that a dragon should not say anything if they don't mean it or make a promise that they cannot keep. To him, he believes that he will do his actions without saying much so he is not held down by a heavy promise that could eventually become a burden he cannot complete.
It isn't that he is distrusting of his clan, not at all; but constantly being surrounded by much larger dragons than himself can be a constant intimidation to the Nocturne. So when the day came that an opportunity rose for Nightwing to help care for some Hatchlings, how could he refuse? Even if some of the hatchlings could match him in size, at least they were smaller than him.
The hatchlings didn't fight or yell, nor did that have any hatred for each other. They were in their youth and hadn't a care in the world; and that was what Nightwing loved about them. They had not yet been burdened with the world around them. Around older dragons, he found it almost tiring to hear of all this hardships and worries, of pessimistic things that could happen to their clan. It wasn't something he was too fond of being subjected to.
Instead, he took it upon himself to bring nothing but light and joy to the hatchlings. When it was only him around them, he would bring them huddled close and tell them small little stories that he would make off the top of his head and it would bring him instant delight to see them so joyful at hearing these; and when he himself could not think of a new tale to bring to the hatchlings, on a few rare occasions a Spiral named Nadia would visit the hatchlings to tell a story.. a lot more enthralling that Nightwings, so to speak.
