Hickory was born and raised in the fighting pits of another clan. From an early age she was taught to fight and that winning meant better food given to her. It was a rough upbringing, her hide being marked with scars of victories and losses but all an important lesson she took to heart. She doesn’t know how long she was in the fighting pits, but it was long enough to have several nests before her luck would change. One day the pit master shouted for her to come out, letting her know she had been bought by someone else. Normally this meant another dragon in the clan had taken ownership, but the imperial dragon that stood before was not a clan member. He introduced himself as Kaido and that he had bought her to join his clan. Hickory just nodded, figuring it would be the same thing, just different scenery. |

Joining Clan Klaadusian proved to be a different life than she was used to. While she still had to fight, it wasn’t in a pit for amusement but instead against enemies and protecting Quint’s market she had been assigned to. The meals were a lot better and did not rely on her doing well in a fight like she was accustomed to, instead she just had to do her new job and her belly would be full. While working under Quint, Hickory and him started a romance. They worked together well, having their side of the world flourish with their black market while having raids and theft at a record low. This turn of events lead to Kaido taking interest in the two once more. Kaido offered Hickory and her mate Quint a spot in his inner circle. This would come with a pay raise, living in the clan lands and she would be the Head of the Pack, training Pack members to fight and defend their Traders and markets. Ever since she has become a vital member to Kaido, often blunt but truthful when it comes to new recruits and having a keen eye on who has potential and who doesn’t. While Hickory is strict, she does not take failure lightly as those in the Pack that fail their duty make her look bad in turn. Those who succeed on a job well done will get rewarded for their efforts. |
