Biography

Nerina was born in The Tidelord's domain though she does not remember where. Just days out from hatching, as her mother was teaching she and her siblings to swim, Nerina was caught in a current. It happened so quickly her mother was unable to fly fast enough to retrieve her. The next thing she recalled was being carried by a large, female Guardian whom Nerina first thought was her mother.

It turned out to be the leader of a nearby clan of fire dragons. Her name was Rayne and she had found Nerina unconcise on a cliffside shore between the Ashfall Waste and Windswept Plateau. They spent a week searching for Nerina's birth clan, asking everyone in Churnscar Wharf and Flotsam Town as well as any dragon they came across along the way. No one knew of a missing hatchling swept away by the currents. Eventually, they had to give up. Nerina was upset but Rayne wasn't going to just leave the little hatchling to fend for herself and so adopted her, bringing her back to the clan where Nerina met other hatchlings she quickly made friends with.

One such hatchling was Ronan, a Tundra several weeks older than her who had been found under similar circumstances. He was very interested in hearing about her clan as he could not remember anything about his, so she told him everything she could remember. As she explained things to him, she realized she would very much like to be a clan ambassador. Ronan realized about the same time that he would like to be one as well.

Ronan was sent to Morpheus while Nerina was sent to Zhi, a water born Coatl who had arrived just a year before Nerina as his small clan traveled around.
It was hard, at first. Zhi didn't speak with words but Nerina was nothing if not patient and learned everything he could teach her. From there she and Ronan traveled to the Starfall Isles to visit the Tourmaline Archives, where they studied for a full year before returning to their clan.

During their studies, Nerina discovered something unique about herself. She had never felt the calling to go on her Search. It was rare but it happened every few generations. Sometimes they would feel lost but Nerina never had. She had a clan, her friends and her studies to help her feel fulfilled and happy.
