Heeri~ Abyssal-thorn
She is a creature of Water. She is colored like the corals, as sinuous as the current shifting kelp and she has braved the depths of the Leviathan Trench to earn her title. And she has woken up feeling... strange. Wriggling away from Valvanera, she goes in search of a mirror, skin feeling odd, wings... She doesn't know why she didn't think to look before, but... her colors have changed. Rippling dark streaks wrap around her skin, and there are patterns on her wings like the maps of ocean currents. The strange feeling has not gone away. There is... something. Something that seems just beyond the reach of her mind, something of dreams which lingers in places she cannot search. She had... yes, she had been dreaming. It had been uncommonly long since she'd last been in the waters of the Sea and she had been feeling a call in her bones, a need to spread her wings and soar beneath the wave like one of the great mantarunes. But her dreams... They're like bubbles, and when she tries to grasp them, they pop, leaving nothing behind. And now she has changed. Something within, something... she cannot put a claw on it. A hint of a dream. Something to do with bubbles... something to do with currents and maps of the sea and the place corals had within the sea. She spreads her wings to the fullest, and is trying to see the whole of them, when she hears "Heeri?" "Here Valvanera. I am..." She trails off, and tries to figure the words for this. "I had a dream and I have changed and I haven't the faintest idea of what I dreamed or why I changed" does not seem to quite do the trick. And it is while she is pondering just what to say that she notices... something. A twist, on one of her back wings. Something almost like... "An X?" A moment of her dream comes back. A search for something missing. A sea of whispers. Writing like streaks of algae upon rocks. And she does not know what to do about it all. But she knows that 'nothing' is not an option. |
